A BROWSER CACHE
This is a folder on the hard drive that stores downloaded files (e.g. web pages).
When a URL is entered, the browser checks the cache to see if the page is already stored there (previously visited web pages will be found on the cache).
If the cache contains a recent version of the page, it will display the cached version instead of downloading the page from the web again.
Cached files use up hard disk space. If a disk limit is not set, then delete the content of the folder regularly.
The browser cache will contain information from the last visit to web sites. To ensure that the most current information is downloaded from a site, select the Refresh or Reload button on the toolbar.
